Elethiya Origins

5
I have been a published author for about a decade now and in that time, I've written dozens of romance novels. This project for me though is incredibly personal as for the first time, I'm unleashing my Disney lovin' self into a world that I've created. This is Disney World with a quiet little town just within its borders, back in the trees. It came to me one day while I was riding the monorail. It was an idea I'd played with off and on for years, but I finally put two things together and came up with an idea I could get really excited about.

Not far from Orlando is a place called Cassadaga. It's a spiritualist's camp. Their residents are psychic, their hotel is haunted, and it fascinates me. I thought to myself, what if Cassadaga where sitting right here next to Disney World, and what if this town had secrets? Like, what if the residents weren't all human? What if there was a portal to a dark fairy tale realm and the barriers between realms has been breached? And what if there was a legendary falls that held the secret to life and death and possibly the origin thereof?

Take all that, wrap it in Disney World, and you have Elethiya. (El lee thee ah)

There are five different lines, or types, of stories within this world. We have fairy tales, sacred soul mates, those striving for fame and all that goes with it, and we even have a secret club high atop one of the exclusive hotels were bdsm looks nothing like what you've heard. Here men and women of honor seek the type of completion of soul that only the right pairing of Dom to sub can ever deliver.

You can check out more on each line on the Themes page on the site.

I hope you'll give my new world a try. I'm going indie with this project because honestly, it's just too personal to put in the hands of a publisher, even the amazing ones I work with regularly. So what I need more than anything from you all, is to spread the word, share the links, get excited and tell everyone! My intention is to have Elethiya be a long running series that gets truly embraced by its readers.

I love writing fiction, creating characters, and now, worlds. It's one of the greatest gifts of my life and to be able to mesh this with my Disney love, it's more than I ever knew I could have. I hope those of you who love my work will stick by me with this shift, and I hope to open up to a whole new world of Disney fans now as well. Stay tuned for more info and sign up below for the newsletter which will give you the first Elethiya book free in pdf format once it debuts!

Downtown Disney Tuesday!

This will be a regular feature as I am always out at Disney on Tuesday and I usually stay for music and honestly, I'm starting to get excited about the transformation of Downtown Disney to Disney Springs. It's still got a long way to go, but I'm starting to see it and I'm excited.

What do I love about DTD?

Well, it's absolutely free.

Free Admission. Free Parking. Free Entertainment.

What's not to love?

It's an open air market of shops, dining and entertainment that is currently undergoing a huge renovation turning it into Disney Springs.

Here's a quick video showing the idea of Disney Springs. Take it away Theron...

Why This Blog...

I can still remember my first trip to Disneyland. It was my 5th birthday and while I don't remember every second of it, from that very first moment, it was home.

I know children all love Disneyland, but I have to think, with me, it was different. Not every kid dreams of the place like I did, not every kid built their every grown up dream around the place the way I did, not every kid grew up to work there and spend every day for years and years there.

I did.

I met the first real friends of my life out there, ha my first real heartbreak, met my husband, lost my sister, started to raise two boys, all while living right there at Disneyland.

Two and a have years ago I came home to Walt Disney World.

I was living in Virginia and I knew I needed a life reset. I didn't want to go back to California, that felt like just that, going back, but I knew I needed home. It was a no brainer where I needed to go... Disney World.

I live off the same street the main park entrance is on, about thirty minutes up the road. I'm blessed to be able to go whenever I want, and I want a lot. The park has absorbed me, it feels at this point as if I've always been here. I feel the heartbeat of this park. I was sitting out at Downtown Disney tonight realizing that most people probably didn't feel as much a part of the trees and the pavers as I do.

If a place could be a soul mate, this would be mine. So why not share my love with everyone? I guarantee you, my take on Disney will be different than the hordes of Disney websites and blogs, because this will be a love story plain and simple. A lot of people may not get it, but I'm really happy about this decision to finally share this part of my life with my friends and my fans alike. I'm always talking about Disney and I know most people don't get what I get about the place, but I share every other part of my life, why not this?

This blog will be primarily my personal disney (that blog title was taken... sniffle) I'll make a regular feature out of Downtown Disney Tuesday and be chronicling the transformation to Disney Springs.

At the moment I do not have an annual pass, so posts won't feature much if anything from there at the moment, but with the holidays here, I'm going to try and do a post on each of my favorite hotels and their amazing decorations and many of the holiday offerings going on now. I want to share with you the amazing resorts, the nooks I find to write, the wildlife, the food, the architecture and the entertainment.

At the end of the day, I love a Disney theme park, and I'm a dork. This blog is going to blend and showcase that brilliantly. ;-)

Music at Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney is a fabulous open air mall kind of place with live entertainment, shops, restaurants, a state of the art movie theater, bowling alley and Cirque Du Soleil. Yes, I’m blessed to live here!

I will do a separate post in a few days on the food, but let's just mention, House of Blues, Wolfgang Puck, and Cooke's of Dublin... oooh I'm hungry now. ;-)

It’s such a remarkable change from the rural landscape of southwest Virginia where I spent the last ten years of my life and it has been instrumental in the rediscovery of my love of live music.

The entire time I lived in VA I went to a few concerts and music festivals and was always reminded in the moment how alive the atmosphere makes me feel. There is just something in the combined energy of musician and audience that, for me, is magical.

Music has always played an important part in my life. I remember from the age of three,
